Garment Care

We recommend you care for your garments (especially our embroidered and hand worked pieces) as if it were a baby wolf after being mauled by a sibling - with great love and care. A gentle hand wash or spot clean is always recommended for ultimate care, even for the machine washable styles. Hand wash using a natural soap bar is always preferred, which can help to care for the fibres in the garment as you clean.

At Dos Lobos, we use a greater content of natural fibres in our garments which are known for being highly breathable. The benefits of this means they don't trap sweat and odour against your skin in the way synthetics do, so you will find they don't get as smelly as quicky as nylon and polyester synthetics used in some activewear will.

Cotton T-Shirts, cool gentle hand wash or gentle machine wash. Dry in shade.

Our Hoodies and sweaters we may only wash occassionaly if they're dirty. Cool gentle hand-wash, do not soak, do not bleach, do not wring, dry in shade.

As you sit against rough surfaces - and or use excessive machine washing , over time little pills and balls of yarn will appear on the surface of your garment. The good news is, you can use a de-piller to easily remove these. The reason pills and snags occur more easily in cotton, wool and natural fibre garments is because the yarns are naturally shorter. So it's normal for them to appear as subtle loose fibres on the surface of the fabric. Synthetic man-made fibres can be made in far longer lengths which is why they are more favoured in sportswear, as they generally don't come loose. But as these are all essentially derived from petro-chemicals, for obvious reasons where we can, we source products with natural fibres.
